Larry Hanks and Deborah Robbins

About three or four months ago I made one of the most delightful "old time" musical discoveries in quite awhile. Through a facebook post with Bob Bovee and Gail Heil I learned indirectly about Larry Hanks and his musical and life partner Deborah Robins. Deborah sent me a copy of their brand new CD of "brand spankin' old" songs - "No Hiding Place".

I've been playing selections from the CD on the radio show, and each time I do, my love for their music just increases. It's just the two of them and their two guitars, but their voices and delivery show why these songs like The Boll Weevil, Angelina Baker, and Mississippi River Blues are timeless classics, and the not so familiar ones like Clara Nolan's Ball and Old Black Choo Choo should be.

So if the old time classics are something you enjoy, a copy of "No Hiding Place" is an absolute must for your collection.

Check their website http://www.larryhanks.com/ or CD Baby http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/hanksrobins.

What are you waiting for? Do it NOW!!!

Sincerely,
Bruce R. Davis
